Cargo
The new GMC Yukon XL’s cargo provides 41.5 cubic feet of space, with all seats in place. Fold flat the third row, and you have an enormous 93.8 cubic feet. For even bulkier items, fold down the second and the third row for a massive space of 144.7 cubic feet. You can rest assured that moving things won’t be a problem for you; that is just about the small joys of life. To translate things into more understandable figures, you get access to the space and comfort of a minivan with this car.

Space
The increased body length is a plus for people that tend to reveal in groups or are hauling something frequently. The new GMC Yukon XL can seat up to 8 people, depending on whether or not you want a second-row captain’s seat. The base model can seat up to 9 passengers, thanks to its front-row bench seat. Yukon XL’s legroom is possibly one of its most impressive features. The driver’s row gets 44.5 inches of legroom, while the second and third-row passengers are privy to 42 and 36.7 inches of comfortable legroom space. The car boasts an equally impressive headroom, with 42.3 inches, 38.9 inches, and 38.2 inches, respectively, for the three rows. Of course, if you want your car to have a sunroof, you might have to compromise a little on the headroom space.

Mileage
GMC not so recently decided to eliminate the automatic start and stop option in their cars. This has slightly impacted the mileage offered by their cars. However, diesel and two-wheel-drive still remain impressive options. Going by the estimate provided by the EPA, this combination in the new GMC Yukon XL gives you a mileage of 21 mpg within the city and 27 on the highway, which brings down the average mileage to 23 mpg. With a gas tank measuring 28 gallons, long drives would hardly seem like a problem. The engine you choose will have a big say in the mileage your car delivers; four-wheel-drives generally deliver a lower mileage than two-wheel-drives.

Infotainment
Standard infotainment features for the new GMC Yukon XL lineup include a 10.2-inch touchscreen compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, HD radio, SD card reader, and Bluetooth connectivity. Google built-in is standard across all models, along with a digital instrument cluster measuring 12 inches. The third row also gets its USB ports. The sound system you get is based on the trim level you choose. The SLE has a six-speaker system, SLT comes with Bose sound system of nine speakers, and the Denali has a 14-speaker Bose sound system that sounds like heaven to your ears. In higher trim levels, you can also choose to have seatback screens that have wireless projection and are compatible with wireless headphones.
